The practice of JJ Bourke & Co, Chartered Accountants was founded in
1950 by Joseph (Joe) Bourke. The practice incorporated as O’Mara Loftus &
Co Ltd in 2016

Following graduation from Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College, Dublin with a B. Sc (Mgmt.) Ciarán worked with Big 4 firm based in their Dublin Office where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Ciarán joined O’Mara Loftus & Co Limited in 1989 and became a partner with the firm in 1996.
Ciarán has gained a wealth of expertise by effectively addressing clients’ accounting, taxation, audit, internal control, and other assurance needs. He works with a broad range of clients, working with companies and sole traders operating in the manufacturing, healthcare, construction, financial services, hospitality, retail and charity/community sectors.
Jerry joined the Ballina office of Bourke Gilroy Gannon, Chartered Accountants, in July 1978, the practice originally founded by Joe Bourke FCA in the early 1950s. Jerry studied as a UCG Commerce student and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983. He became a partner in 1990 and has been in the practice ever since.
Jerry has many years of experience dealing with a broad range of clients, working with companies and sole traders operating in the manufacturing, construction, hospitality, professional, medical and retail sectors.
Originally from Dublin, Sinéad trained with a medium-sized practice gaining a wide variety of experience. She completed her studies in Griffith College Dublin and qualified in 1999. She moved to Ballina in 2002 and is part of our team since September of that year.
Sinéad’s client portfolio includes sole traders, auctioneers, private limited companies and charities.
Following graduation from NUIG where he obtained an honours degree in Commerce, Declan trained with a Big 4 company specialising in audit and receiving his professional qualification with Chartered Accountants of Ireland.
Declan’s client portfolio includes Credit Unions, Medium Companies, Charities, Sport organisations. He has extensive experience in financial reporting, audit and taxation.
Mary joined O’Mara Loftus & Co Limited in 2007, having completed the BA Honours in Accounting and Finance at the Dundalk Institute of Technology, graduating with a second-class honours.
Mary provides a range of accounting, taxation, and payroll services to all types of entities.
